These shoes are manufactured by a small cooperative in France, with a view to supporting and preserving local knowledge and craftsmanship, and producing premium quality shoes. Besides providing an original French production, Moyi Ekolo also works in both Namibia and Kenya on a fair trade basis. The company has developed its own workshops in Namibia and the knitting is produced in Kenya. The shoes are designed using first quality environmentally-friendly materials. The sole is made of lactae hevea ( natural rubber ) and its unique microstructure make the shoes extremely supple and incomparably comfortable. The leather is vegetable tanned (from wood barks), providing the shoes with all the necessary strength and comfort.
